Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps arrested five suspects during a raid on an unregistered diesel production site in Kano State.
The security agency intercepted the illicit operations on October 30, 2026, targeting what officials describe as an unlicenced petroleum processing network operating outside regulatory oversight.
Command officials confirmed that the five individuals taken into custody are currently undergoing interrogation. Investigators are tracing the distribution chain and identifying potential financiers behind the clandestine operation.
The suspects will face prosecution upon the conclusion of preliminary inquiries.
